My college magazine contents page has been designed to present teenage student life in a college environment. Through this page i tried to show a unique style to categorising regular and special features with headers that were relevant to the audience and the flow of college life. I used the questionnaire i created to make sure that each individual section on the contents was what my audience had asked for. I included actual photgraphs of students in order to make it directly appealing to the audience. I knew that for a college magazine directed at students it would be apporpriate to include students in the photography. The i thought that a bright color scheme would also work to make the contents page look a lot more appealing along with the photoshop blending options i have used.
Overall i think that this page is quite sucessful in some aspects of magazine designs. The conventions i had established in my questionnaire regarding font styles and colour scheme worked quite well. I think that as an end-product the colour gradient works to smooth out the block design of the straight lines and block colours. I have learnt that although using a three colour, colour scheme consisting of a mono-toned variation, I think that i needed a second colour to split up the design as i have filled every space with basically the same tones so my contents page appears to full
