The cover deisgn i created has a similar design layout to the contents. I tried to box in the image i took using the borders as shown. I think that this makes the entire cover look less effective, i know that if i were to recreate this it would feature a single image filling the cover with the text wrapping around more effectively. Other than this the cover design with colour scheme and logo/masthead design work quite well as i have balanced the three colour scheme accurately and made sure there are little or no visual barriers.
I have used many blending options to make sure that there are 3-D elements to my design, mainly around text-boxes, arrows and issue symbol. These effects prevent the whole image appearing flat or tedious. These are the tools that help my audience be drawn in to reading the publication but it is likely i have gone over the top in it's production. since the production of the preliminary task i feel i have sufficient knowledge to improve my magazine construction skills
