As my magazine models feature a primarily female band. This article about female artists' representation in the media is important to understanding how stereotypes are presented in the magazine industry. Because of the way that female models are presented in the majority of magazines in the industry; relying on stereotypes and sexual attraction or the role-model, i felt it would be a good idea to break out of the usual assumption as my musical genre audience is all about not following the usual conventions and making their own style which, at time, can be considered controversial. For my models i want to show that female musicians are still musicians and not just figments of sexual attraction. This concept will be applied to my photography so that i can adapt my magazine photographs to suit the audiences preferences and the associated style that goes with the genre
